Interactive Creative Director

Gray Web Tech is looking for an inspired leader/department manager to continue the evolution of GWT as a company. The job is located in San Antonio, Texas and is a new position.
The successful applicant will lead the Interactive Production Team to push the envelope in delivering inspired, innovative and result-generating online marketing projects. The projects include websites, email campaigns, micro sites/landing pages and multi-media campaigns. They will also instill the GWT mission, vision, values and fanatical attention to detail while motivating the development team in a fast paced, positive energy environment.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring excellence within the Interactive creative team and the final projects we deliver. In this position, you will manage the production process of designing and developing websites, email campaigns, and social media campaigns, including content management systems, navigation, features and functionality. You will develop and manage website architecture and strategies for online development, designed to improve user experiences, reduce administrative costs, and maximize profitable growth and revenue targets for GWT clients.
You will work with Account Managers and Sales to develop ideas and solutions for our wide client base. You will work with the Traffic Manager on schedules, timelines and budgets to make the most use of resources.
You will be responsible for assessing the skill level of the production department and determine cross-training and educational needs to maintain GWT as experts in our industry, and you will also help Traffic Manager evolve our in-house project management tools to better practices for the department. Additionally, you will lead research into new web-based technologies and applications that may be appropriate for GWT’s clients’ businesses.
Expectations of the Position: - Hands-on departmental management
- Management of the Interactive Production Team (currently staff of 6)
- Design, develop, and oversee website projects
- Delivery of the highest quality projects for all clients of all sizes with long and short deadlines
- Communicating with client and department liaisons (Traffic Manager/Account Executives)
- Creation and management of project plans, including timeframes and budgetsContinuous education and communication of emerging interactive technologies
Required Experience/Skills: - Online project organization
- Direct management of employees
- Clear and educational style of communicating with both staff and clients
- Project budget creation and management
- 5+ years related creative experience.
- Additional development skill in HTML/CSS or.net, an asset to contribute to production when needed
